Candida albicans reside in the GI tract are a species of yeast. Chronic allergies are caused by the overgrowth of candida albicans. Candida is an opportunistic fungus that primarily feeds on yeast-containing foods and sugar. Yeast-containing foods create a problem that they are seen by the immune system of a person with candida as foreign invaders. This results in triggering reaction.
