Cardiovascular Relating to the circulatory system, which comprises the heart and blood vessels and carries nutrients and oxygen to the tissues of the body and removes carbon dioxide and other wastes from them. Cardiovascular diseases are conditions that affect the heart and blood vessels and include arteriosclerosis, coronary artery disease, heart valve disease, arrhythmia, heart failure, hypertension, orthostatic hypotension, shock, endocarditis, diseases of the aorta and its branches, disorders of the peripheral vascular system, and congenital heart disease.
The journal of the Cardiovascular science is devoted to rapid publications of full length research papers that lead to significant contribution in advancing knowledge in cardiovascular science. It promotes rigorous research that makes a significant contribution. Currently many journals primary objective is to encourage and assist the development of better and faster measures of Cardiovascular science. In cases where the scientific community believes they could contribute directly, as opposed to through highlighting the work of others, some of the journals are producing their own measures of research activity.
