Toxicology is derived from the Greek word toxikos "poisonous". It is a branch of Toxicology which deals with the study of the adverse effects of drugs or chemicals on living organisms. A toxicologist is a scientist or medical personal who are expertized in the study of symptoms, mechanisms, treatments and detection of venoms and toxins; specially the poisoning of people. It also include the studies of the harmful effects of chemical, biological and physical agents in biological systems that produced the extent of harm in living organisms.
