Diabetes which is particularly called as diabetes mellitus is a situation in which high blood sugar is observed for prolonged period of time. Symptoms such as increased hunger, frequest urination and increased thirst are commonly observed. Diabetes should be treated right from when it is detected. Untreated diabetes leads to many complications such as diabetic retinopathy, diabetic neuropathy and diabetic nephropathy etc. almost all organs will be effeted if diabetes is unchecked. So peoper care should be taken along with good medication, proper diet, good exercise and maintaining good discipline and timings while having food. Nurse assistance is highly needed to a diabetic patient in choosing the food, medication and exercise etc.
