Dietary supplements are those food materials which provide the nutrients that are not consumed in sufficient amount from food or else which completes the diet. These include vitamins, minerals, fiber, fatty acids, or amino acids, among other substances. There are nearly about 50,000 dietary supplements available at present. These products are not designed to prevent or treat any disease but only to fulfill the need of a complete diet.
A journal is a periodical publication intended to further progress of science, usually by reporting new research.
