Diffusion is movement of particles solids, liquids or gases from the high concentration to the level of low concentration. This usually results in attaining of equilibration. Diffusion is a passive type of transport which does not involve any usage of chemical energy. Concentration gradient plays an important role in the process of diffusion. Diffusion may be simple or facilitative or active transport.
