Pediatric Poisoning

Poisoning disturbs the whole body system of an organism and now a days is a very common problem in children all over the world. But the extent of poisoning depends on the poising agent and may vary from person to person depending on the health and immune system of the person. As with modern science and technology the infectious diseases have been controlled which was the major cause of mortality and morbidity earlier and now its major cause has been replaced by poisoning. Pediatric poisoning has increases but in developing countries it is a major problem as the people are not concerned about it. But in developed countries various poisons control centres (PCC) are there. Peer review refers to the work done during the screening of submitted manuscripts and funding applications. This process encourages authors to meet the accepted standards of their discipline and reduces the dissemination of irrelevant findings, unwarranted claims, unacceptable interpretations, and personal views. Publications that have not undergone peer review are likely to be regarded with suspicion by academic scholars and professionals.
