General Practice Research

General practice/family medicine/health practice is the field of research that compiles each and every field of health care and medicine. This field of research is completely based on health issue solving and patient care. The trained health professionals or general practioners are the mediators of this field of research. The major issues involved in general practice are pre hospital emergency care, elderly care, pregnancy care, post-surgical care, and low risk surgery handling. This field of research is in the stage of evolution and is getting is break through from developed countries to developing countries. The origin of general practice was in European countries where health care and medical practices are highly professional. As a part of recent advancements in health care and health delivery it is getting wide spread to Asian countries India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. As this area of medicine gets more established it opens more avenues of long term patient care. The general practioners are specially trained professionals who play the central role in health care and education. General practioners can also be explained as a “house call making kind of doctors” instead of a physician or a specialist. This brach of medicine is however a holistic approach in medicine and can definitely make a drastic and appreciable change in patient care.
