Sedimentology deals with the processes affecting the earth today are the same as in the past is the basis for determining how sedimentary features in the rock record were formed. By comparing similar features today to features in the rock record for example, by comparing modern sand dunes to dunes preserved in ancient aeolian sandstones geologists reconstruct past environments. Sedimentologists apply their understanding of modern processes to interpret geologic history through observations of sedimentary rocks and sedimentary structures.
Journal of Geophysics & Remote Sensing is one of the most accessed journals on sedimentology. All published articles of this journal are included in the indexing and abstracting coverage of Google Scholar, Journal Seek and Media finder.
OMICS Group is built upon the principles of Open Access and is determined to provide free and unrestricted access of research articles to scientists around the world for the advancement of science and technology. Submitted articles in the Journal of Geophysics & Remote Sensing avail open accessing. OMICS special features include 21 Day rapid review process and an eminent team of 50,000+ editorial board members and 50,000+ Reviewer team.
