Hypertension Nursing

Hypertension also called as arterial hypertension or high blood pressure is a chronic medical condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is elevated. Blood pressure is described by two measurements, systolic and diastolic, Generally the systoloic/diastolic reading should be below 140/90, if it is above this reading, then it is called hypertension. Nurse help is needed to educate the patient regarding the symptoms, causes, precautions, medication etc. Nurses generally form a groups, co-ordinate among themselves and help the community by educating a whole community.
