Antiretroviral Therapy Scientific Journal

Antiretroviral therapy has transformed HIV into a chronic condition for those with access to treatment. Despite this clinical success, coping with the diagnosis and progression of the virus poses enormous psychiatric challenges that can exacerbate or lead to mental depression. Studies show that people living with HIV experience depression at rates twice or more than that of uninfected individuals. Physical, psychological and social dysfunctions resulting from drug addiction can add to the stress of living with HIV, accelerating the deterioration of mental healt. Depression, in turn, is associated with poorer biological responses, faster clinical progression and higher mortality among people living with the virus. Scientific journal is a periodical publication intended to further progress of science, usually by reporting novel research. There are thousands of scientific journals in publication, and many more have been published at various points in the past. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the oldest journals publish articles and scientific papers across a wide range of scientific fields. Scientific journals contain articles that are peer reviewed, to ensure that articles meet the journal's standards of quality, and scientific validity.
