Neurology is the branch of medical science that deals with the study and treatment of disorders and illness of the nervous system. The nervous system is a complicated, sophisticated system that regulates and co-ordinates body functions and activities. It has two major classification: Central nervous system which includes the brain and spinal cord. Next is, Peripheral nervous system which includes all the other neural elements such as eyes, ear, skin and other sensory receptors. A physician who specializes in neurology is called a neurologist. The neurologist deals with disorder that affect the brain, spinal cord and nerves.
Peer review refers to the work done during the screening of submitted manuscripts and funding applications. This process encourages authors to meet the accepted standards of their discipline and reduces the dissemination of irrelevant findings, unwarranted claims, unacceptable interpretations, and personal views. Publications that have not undergone peer review are likely to be regarded with suspicion by academic scholars and professionals.
