Diagnosis And Control Of Tuberculosis

The diagnosis and control of tuberculosis (TB) is very significant problem in global health. A recent report by the world health organization (WHO) estimated that India is the highest TB-burden country in the world in terms of absolute numbers of incident cases that emerge each year and it contributed one fourth of the estimated global incident TB cases in 2010. In July 2011, national consultations to estimate the TB burden took place. Revised estimated prevalence and incidence rates of all forms of tuberculosis were respectively 256 and 185 per 100,000 populations in 2010.
