"Journal of Lasers, Optics & Photonics is among the best peer-reviewed journals in Laser Optics. Articles published in this peer-reviewed journal are properly reviewed by at least two reviewers of the associated fields.
In the recent years, nanoparticle technology has emerged as a strategy to tackle such formulation problems associated with poorly water soluble and poorly water and lipid soluble drugs. The reduction of drug particle to the nano-scale increases dissolution velocity and saturation solubility, which leads to improved in vivo drug performance. Hence the next step was taken to improve saturation solubility, dissolution velocity and thereby improving bioavailability of drugs by reducing the particle size from micron size to nano size level, one such approach to increase the solubility of such problematic drugs is the nanonisation.
