Open access basically means that its an non profitable journal that does not require any registration fee from the readers. Any article or research paper related to next generation is published in this journal and that is not published in books. It is mainly published online and it is accessible to anyone or everybody who wants to read those articles. Journal Article is sometimes called a Scientific Article, a Peer-Reviewed Article, or a Scholarly Research Article. Together, journal articles in a particular field are often referred to as The Literature.
