|Osteomyelitis is a bone infection. It is caused due to microorganisms that infect the bone and the microorganisms can spread to the bone through the blood stream or infection from the nearby tissue. There are various treatments for the osteomyelitis like antibiotics that kill the infection causing microorganism or if the infection is severe then the dead bone is removed so that it will not infect the surrounding tissues.
