Oxidative Phosphorylation

A series of electron transport reactions across the membrane of mitochondrion for the generation of ATP is termed as the oxidative phosphorylation. Electrons are transferred from electron donors to electron acceptors such as oxygen, in redox reactions. These redox reactions release energy in the form of ATP.
