End Of Life Care Scientific Journals

End of life care is about the total care of a person with an advanced incurable illness and does not just equate with dying. The end of life care phase may last for weeks, months or years. End of life care helps those with advanced, progressive, incurable illness to live as well as possible until they die. End of life care enables the supportive and palliative care needs of both patient and family to be identified and met throughout the last phase of life and into bereavement. End of life care includes the management of pain and other symptoms and the provision of psychological, social, spiritual and practical support. when the person’s condition deteriorates and active treatment does not control the disease then end of life care comes into the picture. Here progressive deterioration and death is anticipated and the emphasis of care moves from active treatment of the disease to treatment to give comfort and control symptoms such as pain. Sometimes treatment that is usually used to actively treat disease may be used to help with symptom control. An example is radiotherapy which is often used to treat certain types of cancer (active treatment of the disease) being used to help with pain control (palliative treatment to control pain). Scientific journal is a periodical publication intended to further progress of science, usually by reporting novel research. There are thousands of scientific journals in publication, and many more have been published at various points in the past. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the oldest journals publish articles and scientific papers across a wide range of scientific fields. Scientific journals contain articles that are peer reviewed, to ensure that articles meet the journal's standards of quality, and scientific validity. The publication of the results of research is an essential part of the scientific method. If they are describing experiments or calculations, they must supply enough details that an independent researcher could repeat the experiment or calculation to verify the results. Each such journal article becomes part of the permanent scientific record.
