It is a process where plants and some other organisms prepare the carbohydrates needed from carbon dioxide and water. Most of the times oxygen is the by product. Light is the main source of energy for this process. Complex organic or inorganic materials are produced from this process.

The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review.
