PDT is a treatment that uses photosensitizing agent, and a specific type of light. These photosensitizing agents are exposed to light of specific wavelength such that it can determine to what extent light can travel in the body. Thus, photosensitizing agents and light of specific wavelength are used by the doctors to treat different areas of the body with PDT. Scholarly journal is a peer-reviewed journal in which scholarship relating to a particular academic discipline is published.
