Remote Sensing

Remote sensing refers to the activities of recording/observing/perceiving (sensing) objects or events at far away (remote) places. In satellite remote sensing of the earth, the sensors are looking through a layer of atmosphere separating the sensors from the Earth's surface being observed. Hence, it is essential to understand the effects of atmosphere on the electromagnetic radiation travelling from the Earth to the sensor through the atmosphere. In Optical Remote Sensing, optical sensors detect solar radiation reflected or scattered from the earth, forming images resembling photographs taken by a camera high up in space. Journal of Geophysics & Remote Sensing is one of the best scholarly journals in Remote Sensing. The journal follows a stringent peer-review process that aims to improve the overall quality of the published content and attracting more number of citations. The editor and editorial review board are committed to provide the best quality articles in a timely manner.Scholarly journal is a peer-reviewed journal in which scholarship relating to a particular academic discipline is published. Scholarly journals serve as forums for the introduction and presentation for scrutiny of new research, and the critique of existing research. Content typically takes the form of articles presenting original research, review articles, and book reviews. The term Scholarly journal applies to scholarly publications in all fields; this article discusses the aspects common to all academic field journals.
