RNA Sequencing also called RNA-seq is a method that utilizes the capabilities of¬†next-generation sequencing¬†to reveal a picture of¬†RNA¬†presence and amount from a¬†genome¬†at a given moment. This allows for sequencing of the RNA transcripts in a cell, providing to look at alternative gene spliced transcripts, post-transcriptional modifications, gene fusion, and changes in gene expression.
