Combustion method has been used as a fast and facile method to prepare nano-crystalline Co3O4 spinel employing urea as a combustion fuel. Alkali-promoted catalysts were prepared by the incipient wetness impregnation of the prepared nano-material with the aqueous solutions of alkali carbonates (Li2CO3, Na2CO3, K2CO3, and Cs2CO3).
