The aim of sedimentology, studying sediments, is to derive information on the depositional conditions which acted to deposit the rock unit, and the relation of the individual rock units in a basin into a coherent understanding of the evolution of the sedimentary sequences and basins, and thus, the Earth's geological history as a whole. The scientific basis of this is the principle of uniformitarianism, which states that the sediments within ancient sedimentary rocks were deposited in the same way as sediments which are being deposited at the Earth's surface today.
Among the sedimentology journals list, Journal of Geophysics & Remote Sensing is the leading journal of OMICS International. It aims to provide an international forum for the exchange of ideas and findings from researchers across different cultures by encouraging research on all information technologies.
OMICS International journals have over 15 million readers and the fame and success of the same can be attributed to the strong editorial board which contains over 50,000+ editorial board members that ensure a rapid, quality and quick review process. Journal of Geophysics & Remote Sensing is one of the leading journals of OMICS International. Conferences organized by OMICS make the perfect platform for global networking as it brings together renowned speakers and scientists across the globe to a most exciting and memorable scientific event filled with much enlightening interactive sessions, world class exhibitions and poster presentations.
