Sometimes when the embryonic neutral tube is not completely closed then this condition is known as spinal bifida. It is a type of congenital disorder. Sometimes vertebrae remain open and are not properly fused together. This allows spinal cord to extend out into the bone. There are two types of spinal bifida, they include anencephaly, encephalocele. The treatment for spinal bifida is surgery which can be performed after the birth of the child.
