Surgery which is performed to cure spinal cord injuries or damage is known as spinal surgery. There are mainly four types of spinal surgery and the include diskectomy, foraminotomy, laminectomy, spinal fusion. In case of discectomy, the surgery includes removal of some parts of the disk or in some cases the whole disk. In case of foraminotomy, widening of opening in the back takes place. In case of laminectomy, removal of lamina takes place. Lastly spinal fusion comprise of joining of two different bones together so that the spine can work correctly. Minimal invasive spinal surgery aims to reduce tissue trauma, bleeding and to improve healing process of body without damage.
