Corticosteroids

The class of chemicals which include the steroid hormones that are naturally synthesized in adrenal cortex of vertebrates are referred to as corticosteroids. Corticosteroids have several uses in medication such as they act as anti-inflammatory medicines, immunosuppressants, used in hormone replacement therapy.
