Journal of Telecommunication Systems & Management aims to reach to the standard of Telecommunications journals with impact factor. An example of network structure is the TCP/IP data network. The TCP/IP protocols route and control the messgaes sent to each network. The diffrent types of TCP/Ip network structure are: wide area networks (WAN), metropolitan area networks (MAN), local area networks (LAN), internet area networks (IAN), campus area networks (CAN) and virtual private networks (VPN). These types also apply to wireless networks: Wireless PAN, Wireless LAN, Wireless mesh network, Wireless MAN, Wireless WAN, Cellular network, Global area network and Space network. Each node in the network is laid out in a manner prescribed for a definitive purpose. The layout of these terminal nodes and channels is called Network Topology. The network links connect nodes and terminals by wired, wireless or exotic technologies. Other building blocks of network nodes are network interfaces, repeaters and hubs, bridges, switches, routers, modems and firewalls. To transmit and receive data over these networks, communication protocols are followed that define the rules of transmission of data. Some of the communication protocols are: Ethernet, Internet Protocol Suite, Synchronous Optical Networking/ Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SONET/SDH) and Asynchronous Transfer Mode.
