Aldosterone Journals

Aldosterone is produced by the adrenal cortex. It helps in the regulation of blood pressure by acting on the distal tubules and collecting ducts of the nephrons which increases the re-absorption of ions and water in the kidneys. This leads to the secretion of potassium, conservation of sodium, increased blood pressure and retention of water. Aldosterone can be pathogenic if not regulated properly. It may also contribute to the development and progression of renal and cardiovascular diseases. A journal is a periodical publication intended to further progress of science, usually by reporting new research. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the oldest journals publish articles, reviews, editorials, short communications, letters, and scientific papers across a wide range of scientific fields. Journals contain articles that peer reviewed, in an attempt to ensure that articles meet the journal's standards of quality, and scientific validity. Each such journal article becomes part of the permanent scientific record.
