PeyronieÂ’s Disease Scholarly Journal

PeyronieÂ’s disease is a benign condition. It is characterized by the formation of fibrous plaques. It happens due to the inflammatory response of the tunica albuginea of the penile corpora cavernosa. PeyronieÂ’s disease may be caused by several factors like cytokines, fibroblasts, and macrophages. Numerous studies have shown a progressive increase in prevalence of the disease with age. Several approaches have been defined for the surgical correction of PD including plication techniques, plaque incision with grafting and penile prosthesis implantation. Scholarly journal is a peer-reviewed journal in which scholarship relating to a particular academic discipline is published. Scholarly journals serve as forums for the introduction and presentation for scrutiny of new research, and the critique of existing research. Content typically takes the form of articles presenting original research, review articles, and book reviews. The term Scholarly journal applies to scholarly publications in all fields; this article discusses the aspects common to all academic field journals.
