Vascular Diseases Impact Factor

It is a type of cardiovascular diseases which affects the blood vessels. It is a clinical condition of large and medium sized arteries which is affected by dysfunction of endothelial cell. Pathogens, cytokines, inflammatory stimuli endothelial cells are factors which causes vascular diseases. Once endothelial cells become activated it release cytokines and chemokines which expresses adhesion molecules on their surface which results in to release of WBC. WBC can infiltrate the blood vessels wall. Stimulation of smooth muscle layer with cytokine further causes thickening of vessel wall and at a final stage it results in to strokes. The impact factor of journal provides quantitative assessment tool for grading, evaluating, sorting and comparing journals of similar kind. It reflects the average number of citations to recent articles published in science and social science journals in a particular year or period, and is frequently used as a proxy for the relative importance of a journal within its field. It is first devised by Eugene Garfield, the founder of the Institute for Scientific Information. The impact factor of a journal is evaluated by dividing the number of current year citations to the source items published in that journal during the previous two years.
