Hypertension is defined as increase the risk of heart attack and disease due to pressure in arteries. Arteries function is to carrying of pumping of blood to all parts of the body. Risk factors are obesity, drinking alcohol, family background and smoking. And also hypertension occurs due to emotional tension, stress. Normal Blood pressure is 120/80. Blood pressure between 120/80 to 139/89 is known as pre-hypertension and 140/90 is called as hyper tension. Beta-blockers are a common treatment for hypertension.
