Bioagent Transmission

A bioagent also called as biological-agent. These are also known as biological threat agent, biological warfare agent, biological weapon, or bioweapon — in which bacterium, virus, protozoan, parasite, or fungus can be used purposefully as weapons in bioterrorism or biological warfare.Even pathogens and biological toxins are also included among the bio-agents. They have the adverse affects on human health like allergic reactions to serious medical conditions, sometimes it may lead to death.Since bio agents are reproduced rapidly and requires minimal resources for propagation they are a definite potential danger to the mankind.
The following are the forms of the bioagents threat:
1. Direct and indirect physical contact pathways
2. Person-to-surface transfer rates
3. Person-to-person transfer rates
4. Airborne pathways
The risk of bioterror attacks could be more in the coming future so we should take responsible measures/standards to reduce the bioagent threats.
