Biological Warfare which is also known as Germ Warfare is the use of biological toxins or infectious agents such as viruses, bacteria and fungi with an intent to kill or immobilize humans, animals or plants as an act of war. Biological Warfare is different from Chemical Warfare. Biological weapons often termed "bio-weapons", "biological threat agents", or "bio-agents" are living organisms or replicating entities that reproduce or replicate within their host victims. They may be used in different ways to gain a strategical/technical advantage over the enemies. Toxins and psycho-chemical weapons are often referred to as mid-spectrum agents. It has been argued that rational people would never use biological weapons offensively since biological weapons could not be controlled.
