Dietary Zinc Deficiency Vs. Testicular Apoptosis

Zinc, an essential trace element, is integral to many proteins and transcription factors that are involved in diverse biological functions such as DNA replication, damage and repair, gene expression, cell division, cell cycle progression, membrane integrity, and apoptosis. Since it has a wide spectrum of biological activities, there are widespread consequences as well as complexity of inadequate dietary supply of zinc and zinc depletion.
