Aggressive Treatment of Brain Metastasis Increases Survival in Patients with Lung Cancer

Lung cancer is the leading cause of death of all cancer. Metastatic lung cancer generally has a poor prognosis, with 0-1% 5 years survival. Systemic therapy is the mainstay of treatment. Brain metastases (BM) in patients with lung cancer are common. Approximately 30% to 55% of the patients will develop BM.
