The Jadomycin production process takes place in three steps: growth, shocking and production. During the growth phase, a culture of Streptomyces venezuelaeISP5230 is grown in nutrient rich MYM medium at 30°C for 48 h. The culture is later transferred into nutrient deprived amino acids rich production medium. The shocking of the bacteria is carried out by ethanol, temperature or phage. After shocking,Streptomyces venezulae convert amino acids into Jadomycins.
