Risk Mitigation Journals

Risk mitigation is accomplished by reducing the threat level by eliminating, removing or intercepting the adversary before they attack, blocking opportunities through enhanced security, or reducing the consequences if an attack should occur. There are five strategies available to security decision makers to mitigate risk: avoidance, reduction, spreading, transfer and acceptance. The mail goal of most security programs is to reduce level of risk. The best strategy for mitigating risk is a combination of all three elements, reducing threats, blocking opportunities and reducing consequences. A journal is a periodical publication intended to further progress of science, usually by reporting new research. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the oldest journals publish articles, reviews, editorials, short communications, letters, and scientific papers across a wide range of scientific fields. Journals contain articles that peer reviewed, in an attempt to ensure that articles meet the journal's standards of quality, and scientific validity. Each such journal article becomes part of the permanent scientific record.
