Risk mitigation is accomplished by reducing the threat level by eliminating, removing or intercepting the adversary before they attack, blocking opportunities through enhanced security, or reducing the consequences if an attack should occur. There are five strategies available to security decision makers to mitigate risk: avoidance, reduction, spreading, transfer and acceptance. The mail goal of most security programs is to reduce level of risk. The best strategy for mitigating risk is a combination of all three elements, reducing threats, blocking opportunities and reducing consequences. Innovations are new idea, device or process. Innovations are the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, inarticulated needs or existing market needs. It is proficient through more effective products, processes, services, technologies, or new ideas that are readily available to markets, governments and society. Innovations are something original and novel, as a significant, new that âbreaks intoâ the market or society.
