The object of opthalmological society is the Society are cultivation and promotion of the study and practice of ophthalmic sciences, and ophthalmology development research and man-power development with a practical view to render service to the community to establish social contacts among ophthalmologists of the country. It also organises Annual Conferences in different parts of the country. In these conferences organizing different number of scientific programmes, Symposia, Seminars, Workshops, and eye trainings and also Wet Labs etc. are conducted for the promotion and successful exchange of knowledge and gains ophthalmological research findings in the field of Ophthalmic Science. The Society also gives credits to the members in the form of Awards, Prizes and Fellowships in recognition of their services in the various specialities. The Scientific Committee looks after the members of scientific programme of the society. It is committed to furthering scientific knowledge and research amongst its members and also providing ophthalmological services and information to the lay public.
