ASEAN Orthopaedic Association

It was built up in 1981. This was framed with a thought of arranging themselves to have a more formal trade of orthopaedic information and concerns. The 5-part countries that established the AOA are Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The AOA has the accompanying destinations are to build up and keep up a relationship of orthopaedic specialists, not for financial benefit but rather for the advantage of mankind by propelling the art of orthopaedic surgery and the moral and able routine of its specialty, to take part in investigative exploration to decide the cause, nature and cure of ailments through every national affiliation, to advance kinship and kinship among the individuals by successive trade of colleagues through grants, voyaging associations, and consistent logical and social intercourse in the ASEAN and different areas of the world,  to add to the strength, peace and advancement in the ASEAN area through the science and innovation of the orthopaedic claim to fame, to be at standard with first world nations in the field of orthopaedic by start of the 21 century, to support sound rivalry and collaboration among the AOA part to advance nearer ties and companionship, to acknowledge conceivable future individuals from AOA, from among the other ASEAN nations.

They also conduct different outreach programmes in different parts of the world like Malaysia, Indonesia etc. to treat patients with low cost. From the year 1981, 33 eminent people served as presidents of this organisation and the present president of this organisation is LOW YIN PENG belong to Singapore. And it also has branches in different countries like: Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand etc.
