Association of Applied Geochemists

The Sodality of Applied Geochemists (AAG) was founded in 1970, is an international organization fixated on advancing the study and application of geochemical science and is working in this field. Until a few years ago, it was kenned as the Sodality of Exploration Geochemists. The Sodality is active in disseminating results of applied geochemistry work through its newsletter Geochemistry: Exploration, Environment, Analysis (GEEA), in sodality with the Geological Society of London. In additament it publishes a quarterly newsletter, EXPLORE, a website-predicated bibliography of geochemically oriented papers, as well as short period volumes, symposia volumes, and infrequent books in applied geochemistry. The Sodality has three levels of membership: Fellow (voting member), Member (non-voting), and Student. The AAG has engendered the Distinguished Geochemists Fund to accolade those who have made consequential advances in the science of Applied Geochemistry, and will utilize this fund to promote and support research of Applied Geochemistry.
