Association of Clinical Cytogeneticists (ACC)

The Association was established in 2005 in London, UK. The Association of Clinical Cytogeneticists (ACC) is the association for Clinical Cytogeneticists operating within the UK. It is a specially authorised society for the advancement of science indicated with the Registrar of Friendly Societies, with its registered workplace at the Royal Institute of Public Health and Hygiene, London. The Association is run by its elective Council that appoints three main standing committees that are responsible to the Council. The Education and coaching Committee (ETC) oversees all aspects of coaching and education as well as organisation of study days. The Association works closely with the Royal school of Pathologists to alter Clinical Cytogeneticists to get Membership of the Royal school of Pathologists as their main skilled qualification. The Scientific Committee initiates and co-ordinates cooperative analysis altogether aspects of Clinical genetics, responds to relevant documents on behalf of the acc and is concerned within the organisation of programmes for scientific conferences as well as British people Human genetic science Conference. The skilled Standards Committee has created tips in 2001 for quality aspects of genetics services within the U.K. and has in progress responsibility for the availability of recommendation to Council on connected standards.
