Association of Oncology Social Work (AOSW)

The Association of Oncology Social Work (AOSW) is a non-benefit, universal, 501(c) 3 association committed to the improvement of psychosocial administrations to individuals with tumor, their families and parental figures. Made in 1984 by social laborers inspired by oncology and by existing national malignancy associations, we have more than 1,200 ebb and flow individuals who grasp the AOSW Mission "to propel magnificence in the psychosocial consideration of people with growth, their families, and parental figures through systems administration, training, backing, examination and asset improvement."

It has more than a quarter century administration to the oncology group. Specialists in systems administration, instruction, support, exploration, and asset advancement, AOSW individuals are champions of psychosocial mediations that improve personal satisfaction and survivorship of people with disease and their families. AOSW participation is included a universal arrangement of experts and understudies who rehearse in clinics, malignancy focuses, home consideration offices, hospice, group based oncology hones, group programs, persistent backing associations, instructive foundations and different settings.

It is glad for its cooperation on the Cancer Survivor Toolbox, a self-promotion preparing program for disease survivors, the official diary of AOSW — Journal of Psychosocial Oncology (JPO), our Special Interest Groups, the Online Continuing Education courses, and our Annual Conference. We have held 22 effective yearly meetings and welcome you to go to our next one. We have had the benefit of co-supporting meetings in the past with CAPO and IPOS in Canada and was host to an oncology claim to fame track at the fifth International Conference on Social Work in Health and Mental Health in Hong Kong.

Our individuals hone in healing facilities, outpatient centers, home consideration and hospice offices, group wellbeing programs, understanding support associations and different settings. We associate people determined to have growth, and their families, with crucial group, state, national, and worldwide assets. We do this as a major aspect of the oncology group. We are as assorted as the customers and groups we serve.
