The name, the British Orthopedic Sports Trauma Association, was deliberately abstained from infringing on the interests of different gatherings. In September 2010 BOSTA changed its name to BOSTAA (British Orthopedic Sports Trauma and Arthroscopy Association) to mirror the developing impact of arthroscopy in games wounds.
