European Calcified Tissue Society

European Calcified Tissue Society was founded on 1963, is a scientific society to promote for the public benefit research, education and clinical practice in bone and tissue research by the organization of conferences across the globe, training courses and workshops and publications, by raising public awareness, liaison with national and international legislators. The aim of this society is to promote research in the field of calcified tissue within the European country and ensures that the research and development are beneficial for metabolic bone disease. The society aims in advancement of scientific knowledge of the function and structure of calcified tissues and related subjects. They promote basic and clinical research in tissue and bone field and to publish and disseminate of the research findings. They exchange the information and build network through collaboration and to stimulate, through meetings, symposia, study groups, lectures, seminars and other means. They act as an authoritative body for the purpose of consultation in matters of professional and public interest concerning research in calcified tissues and related subjects in Europe. This Society has acted as a forum for broad-ranging high quality and innovative research through its annual conferences/congresses and workshops. The board members of this society will be appointed by ballot at the AGM for a period of 3 years and can be re-appointed by ballot at the AGM following the completion of their term of office. Board Members are responsible for maintain and control the management and administration. They follow the law regard for UK Charity and Company law, ensures that every activity in the society follows the same law and within its aims and objectives. They develop policies and strategic plans for the society and also monitor the budgets and financial performance.
