French Society for Developmental Biology

The French Society of Developmental Biology brings together over 20 years researchers working in the field of Biology of animal or plant development. It aims to promote research in the fields of descriptive and experimental embryology, the differentiation of post-embryonic development, growth, regeneration, Teratology and genetics in all multicellular organisms, regardless of the techniques used. The SFBD also work to facilitate the exchange of ideas and resources within the scientific community. The SFBD is also a member of the International Society of Developmental Biologists (ISDB). Each year the SFBD France organizes an annual symposium. Particular attention is paid to young researchers. Registration fees for seminars are relatively small, allowing them to participate cost at a scientific meeting. In addition, for several years, the SFBD has set up a travel grant program for doctoral thesis ultimately allowing them to cover part of the costs of a congress abroad. Once a year the Company also awards the prize for the best thesis in developmental biology. The SFBD try to provide all information of interest to members through a newsletter and on the website. French Society for Developmental Biology is currently located in France. This society organises many events nationally and internationally.
