Polish Pediatric Orthopaedic Society is the branch of Polish Society of Orthopaedics & Traumatology started by the executive committee on March 19, 1991. The society came into existence with lot of efforts and struggle. The decision of the executive committee for forming a society was a great achievement and success which proved its credibility of its existence. The setup of Polish Pediatric Orthopaedic Society was initiated by Prof. Ignacy Wosko, Head of the clinic of Paediatric Orthopaedics who later became the first chairman. During a very less time, the society was joined by 200 orthopaedic different specialty doctors.
The society also initiated scheduling the annual meeting between the experts for the exchange of knowledge and experience to deal with the key issues of Orthopaedics. The first symposium was held in Lublin in 1991around the theme congenital hip dysplasia. Consequently the symposia and meetings of the experts continued to be held every year and in 2001 the society celebrated the 10th anniversary.Read More»
