SEMDA serves as an advocate for Dietetic Professionals and the public through the promotion of optimal nutrition, health, and well-being.
About:
1996-1997 was an historic year as MOST (Macomb, Oakland and St. Clair Counties Dietetic Association) and DDA (Detroit Dietetic Association) completed their merger to form SEMDA (The Southeastern Michigan Dietetic Association).
The district now includes Macomb, Oakland, Wayne, Monroe, and St. Clair Counties and is the largest district dietetic association in Michigan with close to 300 members. SEMDA is affiliated with the Michigan Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
