Polytechnical University of Madrid

Polytechnical University of Madrid was established in 1971 merging different Technical Schools of Engineering and Architecture. Also known to be Technical University of Madrid was located in Madrid. It is one of the top technical universities in Spain according to the annual university ranking conducted by El Mundo.

The Schools of Agricultural, Technical Forestry, Aeronautical, Technical Architectural Engineering, Computer Science and Telecommunications, Naval Engineering, Mining Engineering, Public Works and Technical Industrial Engineering, Fashion design are the courses offered by the University. Overall 35,000 students attend classes during the year.

The University has tied up with most of the European engineering schools by Erasmus agreement. Some of the International agreements are MIT exchange, Athens Program, GE4 Program, Erasmus grants, Spanish Chinese Exchange Program, Vulcanus Program, Magalhaes Program, Spanish Indian Program and Student Mobility with no Exchange Program.

Some of the famous personalitites studied in the University were Praxedes Mateo Sagasta, 7 times Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Duque, an astronaut, Rafael Moneo, an architect and many more in different fields.
